METHOD OF MARKERS

Step 1 - all assets are placed in a line.

Step 2 - each player places N-1 markers on the line (secretly, so that other players do not see) to divide it into N fair shares.

Step 3 - the first share is given to the first-most marker.

(in the example/picture this first share would go to B)

Step 4 - the second share is given to the next smallest bid.

(in the example/picture this second share would go to C)

This giving of the smallest share continues until all players have been given a fair share. Leftover assets are then distributed among the players randomly and equally.

(The third share is given to A, and the fourth share is given to D)
